Quick Setup of The F6

Do not apply power or air to the F6 until the following steps have been completed.

The Tool Compartment is located to the bottom left of the F6. It contains maintenance tools, bend dies, wipe shoes, saw blade, drill bits, and computer cards.

1) Inspect the F6 for any damage that may have occurred during shipping. Open both the Electrical Enclosure mounted on the rear of the machine and the Stepper Driver Enclosure mounted on the left side of the machine, tighten all terminal screws. Pull on the wires with needle nose pliers to ensure that all connections are secure. These screws have a tendency to vibrate loose during shipment. Check for cracked or broken wires on the power supply terminals.

2) The F6 is now ready for power. The F6 must be plugged into a dedicated circuit Machines sold in the U.S. will normally be designed for 120 VAC, single phase, 60 hertz. Machines shipped outside of the U.S. will normally have a voltage transformer to step down a 220 VAC circuit to 120 VAC. It is important that you protect the transformer's primary circuit with a breaker or a fuse.

3) Hook up an airline to the bender. Turn on the Air Shut-Off Valve. Listen for air leaks around the airlines. The airline must be at least ?" diameter from source to the F5. The air pressure must be 120 PSI.

4) Power up the machine by pulling out the switch located on the front of the bender. You will see the touch screen come to life displaying some odd characters and tests being performed, and then the MASTER MENU will appear.
