F6 RUN MODE

When you are ready to bend a frame, select the RUN MODE on the MASTER MENU. You will be asked to enter the desired part number. If you press "E" (ENTER), then the 'current' or default part number will be ran. Once you have entered in the desired part number, the READY TO RUN menu appears as follows:

READY TO RUN
[] MASTER MENU [] AUTO SAW
-------------CURRENT STATUS-------------
# RAN: 0 OF 10 :PT# 1 :SCH= 108
GLASS: 12 0/0 X 24 0/0
INSIDE: 11 1/8 X 23 1/8
SPACER: ? [] TAIL STOCK= 154 0/0
CONNEC: ON REQ LENGTH= 68 27/32
DRILL: ON
CONFIG: RECT.(3 B) PRINTER: OFF

At this point, the MAIN CLAMP is energized and the F6 is ready to run.

If the operator needs to square up or trim the spacer end, he or she can place it at the saw and depress the AUTO SAW option. The spacer will then be automatically cut and be driven forward until it comes into contact against the MAIN CLAMP. The MAIN CLAMP will then automatically de-energize or drop down to allow the spacer to be driven, bent, drilled, and cut according to the frame configuration. If the spacer end is pre-cut, instead of using the AUTO SAW option, the operator simply places the spacer's end against the MAIN CLAMP. At this point the SPACER SENSOR will sense the presence of the material and the spacer will be driven, bent, drilled, and cut according to the frame configuration.

CAUTION: Do not leave the machine unattended in the READY TO RUN mode. Personal injury could result from someone accidentally activating either the AUTO SAW switch or the SPACER SENSOR.The operator is responsible for manually removing the bent spacer frame.

As soon as each frame is removed the MAIN CLAMP will automatically be energized in preparation for the next piece of spacer. After each frame is produced on the bender, the part counter is incremented by 1 and the TAIL STOCK counter is reduced by the appropriate amount. The TAIL STOCK counter keeps track of how much stock spacer is left on the machine. The amount of TAILSTOCK is always displayed on the screen under the CURRENT STATUS.Every time you remove a frame, the bender will determine whether or not the resultant TAILSTOCK is long enough to complete the next frame. If the TAILSTOCK is long enough, DRIVE MOTOR #1 (if installed) will automatically advance the stock and the bending process will begin. If the TAIL STOCK is not long enough for the next frame the bender will prompt for a new piece of stock or other option, and then reset the TAIL STOCK counter to the STOCK LENGTH. STOCK LENGTH is a programmable value in the SET-UP mode.

NOTE: The operator should always glance at the TAIL STOCK counter to make certain it is correct. If for some reason you would like to edit the TAILSTOCK, press the TAIL STOCK button. The TAIL STOCK menu will appear as follows:

** TAIL STOCK OPTIONS **
[] USE CURRENT TAIL STOCK
[] USE NEW PIECE OF STOCK
[] ENTER A SPECIAL LENGTH

*Using the CURRENT TAIL STOCK option will of course continue with the current length
displayed.

*Using a NEW PIECE OF STOCK will reset the TAILSTOCK to the STOCK LENGTH.

*Entering in a SPECIAL LENGTH will allow you to use remnants of stock that may be left over from previous runs.

*Pause Continue prompt. The touch screen will prompt the operator at the end of every part as to weather to continue with the schedule or to pause for some other action. The schedule can be resumed after pausing.
