F6 Sequence at Power Up
1) Pulling out the ON/OFF switch will deliver line voltage to the following components:
A) Power supply #1 (+5VDC) computer logic
B) Touch screen terminal.
C) Power supply #2(24VDC)Input/Output rack modules
2) The stepper drivers will energize the stepper motors. (Holding torque will be
apparent at each motor.)
3) The Computer card cage will receive logic voltage from power supply #1. The 6020
386x CPU card will initialize and perform a System Test. Results of the test will be
displayed on the touch screen terminal. The System Test includes the following:
A) All data stored in RAM memory will be checked to make certain it is within range of the operating system. If any of the data is not within operating range, the screen will display "MEMORY DATA WAS OUT OF RANGE" and you will be asked to push an acknowledge button. This message will appear if an offset has been changed and the F6 has been rebooted, this is normal. After the second reboot the message should not appear. If the message appears after each power up with no changes to offsets then there may be a memory problem and you should call customer service.
C) Next, the system will try to detect the presence of the stepper motor index card(s). If the card(s) is not detected, a warning message will be displayed on the screen and you will be asked to push an acknowledge button on the screen. Call customer service if this occurs.
D) When the System Test is done, the bend arm will 'zero out' by jogging the arm until it is one step off of the bend arm sensor.
E) When the bend arm has 'found home', the MASTER MENU will appear on the touch screen and the F6 will be ready to operate.
